July 2009 - The Leviathan made its first public appearance at "America's Largest Celebration of Railroading" in Owosso, MI. Visitors from 50 states and 14 countries paid to enter. The debut of The Leviathan turned out to be bigger than anyone expected. The Leviathan was the newest steam locomotive at the festival that resembled the oldest.

Sept 2009 - The Leviathan steamed into Monticello, IL with Abraham Lincoln riding in the cab.
